Season The 2017/18 growing season was relatively warm, with dry weather through December/January. Care was taken in the warm conditions to harvest relatively early to retain aromatics and preserve natural grape acid.
Viticulture Marsanne, Viognier and Roussanne are grown east of Murrumbateman (shaley red loam).
Winemaking The Fruit was whole bunch pressed and run to seasoned Allier and Vosges oak for fermentation. Each parcel underwent a full malolactic fermentation and was aged on lees before blending and bottling in February 2019.
Taste The wine is fresh on the nose with aromas of white flowers, flint and notes of quince of exotic spice. The palate is focussed, mouth-filling and long. Taut and gently fragrant now, the wine will steadily take on complexity and girth with age.
