Season
The 2022/2023 growing season commenced with good spring rains, giving way to a temperate summer. Mild, cool conditions through to harvest yielded high quality, disease-free fruit.
Viticulture
Riesling is grown on deep reddish granite loam at Murrumbateman.
Winemaking
The grapes were harvested for optimum freshness and vibrancy in mid-March 2023. Whole-bunch pressed oxidatively, the juice was inoculated with a neutral yeast strain and fermented at 17 deg Celsius, before clarification and bottling in June 2023.
Taste
This dry style is clean on the nose with aromas of white flowers and lime-dominant citrus. The bouquet is threaded with herbal, floral and mineral notes. A crunchy mid-palate yields to a bright and lingering finish.
