RESERVE 2009

Made from mature shiraz vines grown at Kyeema, on an elevated granite saddle near Murrumbateman.

The 2008-2009 season threw up near-perfect growing conditions for Canberra District shiraz. Well-spaced rain events and generally mild to warm conditions mirrored the previous season, but lower yields in 2009 gave the wines a slightly more muscular feel.

The 2009 Reserve is beautifully ripe, and combines the intensity and vibrancy of the vintage with the spice, perfume and elegant structure that this vineyard consistently gives.

Showing plenty of youthful charm now, this wine will be at its best at between five to twenty years of age.
