Made predominantly from marsanne, and a small quantity of roussanne and viognier.
The cool and moist vintage provided stress-free conditions for the accumulation of intense aroma and flavour in the berries.
The 2011 Lamp Lit was whole-bunch pressed and fermented in seasoned French oak, before undergoing the malolactic fermentation and maturation on lees. The wine is fresh on the nose with aromas of white flowers, flint and a hint of exotic spice. The palate is focussed, mouth-filling and long.
Taught and gently fragrant now, the wine will steadily take on complexity and girth with age.
