We ship our wines in lots of 2, 6 or 12 bottles to ensure they arrive safely, so please make up your order in multiples of 2, 6 or 12 bottles. Mixed packs of different wines are welcome.
Blend
Marsanne (93%), Roussanne (7%)
Season
The 2021 spring was relatively moist and cool, with conditions continuing throughout the growing season. The prolonged ripening period ensured pristine fruit at harvest with fresh aromatics and well-preserved natural grape acid.
Viticulture
A range of clones of Marsanne are grown east of Murrumbateman (shaley red loam), and Roussanne south of Murrumbateman (granite).
Winemaking
The fruit was whole bunch pressed and run to a mix of new and seasoned Allier and Vosges oak, and stainless steel for fermentation. Each parcel underwent a full malolactic fermentation and was aged on lees before blending and bottling in February 2022.
Taste
The wine is fresh on the nose with aromas of white flowers, flint and a hint of toast. The palate is focused, mouth-filling and long. Taut and gently fragrant now, the wine will steadily take on complexity and girth with age.
